It has been a long time coming and we overcame many challenges, but we are very proud to present The Jock , a high school drama appropriate for all ages.  Music from: Bensound

       This week, we finished our final filming and ha d  the raw footage ready for editing. We have started doing our editing of the final draft in  PremierPro . We decided to make the mise-en-scene bright and cheery to showcase that the Alex, Sabrina, and  Victoria are excited for their first day of school and to see the boy they all like, Troy. We decided to cut down on transitions and not make them as crazy because of our class feedback that there were too many. We also edit ed the  video  so the volume of the girls is louder and easier to hear, since classmates told us in our first draft it was hard to hear the conversations. To help with the volume even more, we decided to remove masks for filming and the volume is much better even i n the raw footage.  We made sure we had many different camera angles to really show  expressions, and  fit the mood of the scene we were filming.        We were not satisfied with our first draft of our film and decided to re-do it completely and change the entire script as well as the actors and locations. We re-wrote the script and  made the plot more obvious and interesting. We decided we would have the first scene be the girls arriving to school together and getting out of the car to talk about their first day. The girls ’  main conversation is about seeing the boy they all like, who is Troy. We  filmed this scene in the Tami Sola parking lot. The next scene is the girls walking through the hallway and stopping at the lockers to talk. In this scene, they are all looking for Troy because they haven’t seen him yet. Alex, who is the main character is a mean girl and thinks Troy likes her best out of all of  them. The last scene is the girls arriving to class and Troy coming in right as the last bell rings. Alex says hi to him and all the girls get flustered.        ...

                                                                  Peer Review         After receiving peer review on our project, we were given a lot of ideas and suggestions. The first we got was that it was hard to hear  the dialogue , which was likely because  of the background noises of the gulf cart at school. Another comment we received was that there were too many transitions, which will be an easy fix. There were several questions about the plot and some people sai d it was hard to figure out what the plot is based off of the  two minute  film we produced. This will be a bit more difficult to fix but we do have a plan. Someone also suggested  that we could add subtitles because it was hard for them to hear some of the words. The editing...
